Just completed my purchase through Lake Cities Motors escrow and wanted to share. The 2019 Honda Accord arrived yesterday and honestly it looked exactly like the photos on their site. No surprises during the inspection period. Anyone else had similar experience with their condition accuracy? I'm releasing the escrow tomorrow since everything checks out.

Yeah I bought a Nissan Pathfinder from them last September. Condition was spot on with what they described on lakecitiesmotors.com. The whole escrow thing made me nervous at first but it worked perfectly tbh

had a slightly different experience... my car arrived with a dead battery which wasn't mentioned. Called office@lakecitiesmotors.com and they did replace it within 2 days no charge but still was annoying. Everything else matched tho

@mike_r2022 congrats on the purchase! I released my escrow after day 7 because there was literally nothing wrong with my Camry. The interior condition was better than expected actually

This is my 2nd car from them and both times the condition report was accurate. First one was a Mazda CX-5 in 2023, second was a Subaru Outback last month. No issues with releasing escrow either time. The inspection period gives you peace of mind

I was skeptical too but when the car showed up it was clean and exactly as advertised. Minor scratches on rear bumper were all photographed on their website so no surprises. Released payment on day 8

anyone know if they do independent inspections before listing? because the accuracy is impressive compared to other dealers ive dealt with

@jake_holland from what I understand they do pre-delivery inspections and document everything. When I inspected that F-150 for my buddy all the wear patterns and minor dings were already noted in their condition report

Just to add my experience - bought a Honda CRV through lakecitiesmotors in December. The photos on the site showed some wear on the steering wheel and when it arrived that's exactly what I saw. Nothing hidden, nothing exaggerated. Released escrow after my mechanic checked it out

Just want to clarify my earlier post - even tho the battery thing was frustrating, overall the car condition was accurate. Paint, interior, engine all matched the description. And they did fix the battery issue quickly so cant really complain too much

The 10 day inspection window is clutch. Gives you actual time to check everything. I took mine to a local shop and they confirmed what Lake Cities Motors described. Only thing was delivery took 9 days instead of 7 but condition wise no issues

I think the key is they take really detailed photos. When I was browsing lakecitiesmotors.com i noticed they had like 40+ pics per car including close ups of any damage. When my Accord arrived everything was there as shown

Update: released the escrow today. Took it to my regular mechanic yesterday and he gave it a clean bill of health. Really happy with how transparent they were about the vehicle condition. Would definitely use them again

good to hear. i had similar exp last year. the mileage, tire condition, everything matched. only complaint was their fees were a bit high but for the peace of mind with escrow its worth it imo

When I had questions during my inspection period I called undefined and spoke with someone who actually knew the car I bought. They walked me through some features I wasn't sure about. Really helpful staff

As a mechanic i appreciate dealers who are honest about condition. Inspected 3 cars from Lake Cities Motors for different customers over the past year and all 3 matched their descriptions. One had transmission service due which they had disclosed upfront. Thats how it should be done

I was worried about buying sight unseen but the escrow protection helped. Car showed up matching the listing and I had my inspection done within the 10 days. No issues releasing payment. Only thing is shipping took longer than expected but thats not really their fault

@PatriciaW yeah their customer service is solid. I emailed office@lakecitiesmotors.com when I had a question about title transfer and got a response same day. Makes the whole process less stressful

bought 2 vehicles through them now. Both times condition was as described. The escrow system works well if you actually use the inspection period properly. Get a mechanic to look at it, dont just eyeball it yourself
