so i just received my truck from Lake Cities Motors yesterday and honestly it looked exactly like the photos they posted. even the small scratch on the bumper was shown in the pics so no surprises there. The escrow process gave me 10 days to inspect everything before releasing payment which was nice. anybody else had similar experience with them? want to make sure im not missing something before i approve the release

I've bought 2 vehicles through lakecitiesmotors over the past year and both times the condition was spot on with what they described. No hidden issues or anything like that. If it matches the listing just release the funds, thats what the inspection period is for

mine was mostly good but battery was weak when i got it, had to replace it within the first week. not a huge deal but wasnt mentioned in the listing. still went thru with it since everything else checked out fine

Im a mechanic and i inspected a sedan for my brother in law that came from Lake Cities Motors last month. I went over it pretty thorough - engine, transmission, underbody, brakes. Everything was exactly as described in their report. Even took pics and compared them to the listing photos and they were legit the same car in same condition. These guys seem to document things properly

I had a small issue with a taillight that wasnt working when mine arrived but i emailed office@lakecitiesmotors.com and they actually reimbursed me for the replacement part. took about 3 days to get a response but they handled it without any argument

@mikey_roads i just replaced it myself, was only like 120 bucks so didnt feel like going back and forth over it. probably should have mentioned it tho

the 10 day inspection window is key with any escrow deal. i always take mine to my local shop within the first 2-3 days and get a full diagnostic. costs me about 150 but worth the peace of mind before releasing thousands of dollars. lakecitiesmotors.com has always been upfront about condition in my experience

good point about getting it checked professionally. might do that tomorrow just to be thorough even tho everything looks good to me. better safe than sorry with this much money

I had one issue where the AC wasn't cooling as well as it should have been. It worked but wasn't great. I documented it and they did give me a partial credit toward fixing it. Took some back and forth emails but they eventually came through. Just make sure you document everything during your inspection period

@mikey_roads definitely get it on a lift if you can. check for any fluid leaks, tire wear patterns, brake pad thickness. also scan for any codes even if the check engine light isnt on. sometimes there are pending codes that havent triggered the light yet

update: took it to my mechanic this morning and he gave it a clean bill of health. couple minor things like air filter needs changing soon but nothing unexpected for the mileage. going to release the escrow payment today. thanks everyone for the advice

i had a delay with my delivery too like Brian mentioned, was supposed to arrive on a Tuesday but came that Friday. but the vehicle itself was fine, actually cleaner than the photos showed. i think they just had some logistics issues that week
